When you book an easyJet flight ticket, your booking is non-refundable. They do offer a FLEXI fare, but this costs significantly more than the standard ticket. This means that you won’t be able to get your money back on a flight that you have to cancel.
What can you do, though, is amend to your booking to suit your change in travel plans. If all you need to do is travel on a different day, you can book onto a different easyJet flight. However, if this still doesn’t fit into your circumstances, you are able to change the name of the passenger who is travelling, which means you can sell and transfer your flight booking to someone else.
Name changes cost a set fee whereas changing to a different flight will cost you a fee plus the difference in fare between your original booking and the new one. These charges will differ depending on whether it's peak season (15 June - 1 September) or off-peak season (2 September - 14 June). Also, bear in mind that if you manage your booking online it is cheaper than doing so through the call centre.
More than 60 days before your date of travel: £20 online and £25 through the call centre.
Less than 60 days before the date of travel: £47 online and £52 through the call centre.
More than 60 days before the date of travel is £17 + fare difference online and £22 + fare difference through the call centre.
Less than 60 days before the date of travel during the off-peak season (2 September - 14 June) is £32 + fare difference online and £37 + fare difference through the call centre.
Less than 60 days before the date of travel during the peak season (15 June - 1 September) is £47 + fare difference online and £52 + fare difference through the call centre.
Cancelling a booking within 24 of making it: £27 online and £32 through the call centre.
