First of all, the bad news. Flybe do not allow cancellations, therefore their tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to fly they suggest that you claim your unused taxes. The good news is that instead of cancelling your flight, we suggest that by changing the name on the booking you can sell it on to someone else looking for that exact route and recoup some of your money otherwise lost.
More good news for consumers; if you have booked a Flybe flight but have either made a mistake or you just need to cancel it within 24 hours of booking, you can request a full refund. You will need to contact the Flybe Contact Centre to amend the booking or cancel it. However it’s important to know that this only applies to certain ticket types.
If you have booked the lowest class of ticket (i.e. the “Just Fly” ticket option), then you cannot request a 24 hour cancellation. These tickets are fully non refundable.
The second class of ticket, (the “Get More” ticket) and the first class ticket, (known as the “All In” ticket) can be refunded within 24 hours.
You must contact the contact center during their opening hours and within 24 hours of making your booking, plus no later than 2 hours before the departure of your flight.
Although your Flybe tickets are non refundable, you can make date, time and name changes. A name change can be made through the Flybe Contact Center up to 2 hours before the departure of the ticket. But beware, if you have already flown part of your journey, a name change is not possible.
There are three classes of ticket sold by Flybe. The lowest class, “Just Fly”, second class “Get More” and first class “All In”.
For both the “Just Fly” and “Get More” ticket classes, standard name change fees apply. The cost for this is usually £50 and any fare difference will also be added. To determine the exact costs you must personally contact Flybe through the Flybe Contact Center.
For the lucky ones with the “All In” ticket class, a standard name change fee applies but there is no fare difference charged.
So you can’t make your pre-booked flight? No problem. Once you’ve contacted Flybe to determine the name change fee and fare difference for your flight, you are equipped to create a new listing on TransferTravel.com. Creating a new listing only takes a few minutes and it’s free to list. Through an intuitive process, we ask for just a few details after you register, including the date and time of the booking. We also ask for anything else that is included in the booking like luggage and seat selection. If you have a flybe flight you can’t use and would like a little guidance or support, please refer to our support team by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
