Following up from my most recent post about Instagram shaping the way in which we travel, this post will feature several of the most iconic hot spots around the world and where to find them.
There quite possibly couldn’t be a more iconic photo of Forrest Gump running along through Monument Valley. Then pause and imagine yourself. American Flag not obligatory but a nice touch if I say so myself. So if you fancy a little detour off the old Route 66 then here’s a place you just can’t miss
This spot is found in a mass of red desert on the Arizona, Utah Border Line USA
The most visited castle in the whole of France and in my opinion the most photographic of the Disney castles. You’ll find this photo spot on the main Mall in Disneyland Paris.
Those iconic red steps are constantly bringing in the crowds all after getting the best view of one of New York’s most popular landmarks. If there’s one thing that makes any selfie better then it’s a with a slice of $1 pizza.. thank me later.
Perhaps one of the most popular view points in Asia and with good reason. Although Hong Kong doesn't actually come to my mind when thinking about city views it definitely shouldn't be forgotten. There are several ways to reach the peak but the most recommended way is by tram which depart every 15 minutes between 7am and 12pm.
For your iconic swing shot on a beach, head to Thailand to Salad Beach on the island of Koh Phangan.. not just a party island but also of beach beauty. The perfect location for a little bit of everything.
Another Instagram worthy shot comes from the Middle East and more specifically Jordan. Made most famous perhaps by Indiana Jones, and also by the photos you are going to take. Petra, is a fairly big city and one of the best views comes from hiking up around 6000 steps to the view over the Monastery.
Now go book those flights and take those photos!
