MV Fingal, Edinburgh (to open Spring 2018)
First on our list is the MV Fingal, a floating hotel berthed at The Shore in Edinburgh. This hotel has beautifully styled cabins all named after Stevenson lighthouses, inspired by Fingal’s rich maritime heritage. Interiors are Art Deco inspired, with wooden wall panels, gold ceilings and glass pillars.
Boasting not one but two Michelin-starred restaurants, the MV Fingal will be Scotland’s first floating hotel. It’s been described cheesily as a floating ‘boatique’ hotel.
The MV Fingal is set to open in Spring 2018, therefore, we suggest pre-booking now! Rates TBC.
Wow, this hotel really is jaw-dropping! Part of the Marriott International’s Autograph Collections Hotels, The Dixon is a new boutique style hotel set to open in London in 2018. Located at Tower Bridge, the hotel aims to become a new cultural hub within the bustling capital.
The hotel’s history? The property was initially designed as a Magistrates’ Court in 1905 by John Dixon Butler and is currently undergoing restoration to highlight the beauty that was once built by Mr Butler.
The Dixon is due to open in the UK late 2018. Rooms start from £199 per night.
Now these treehouses have definitely captured our attention, opening alongside Ramside Hall Hotel in Durham.
Luxury treehouses are currently being built in the woodland adjacent to the 8th fairway of The Prince Bishops Course, which overlooks the hotel and golf course at Ramside. Taking luxury to higher ground, especially with a freestanding copper bath in every treehouse – pure bliss.
The treehouses will open in Summer 2018.
Once a Grade II* listed landmark building in Russell Square, a multi-million pound refurbishment from top to toe will restore the building to her original glory for her opening as The Principal London.
The hotel if full of contemporary designs by Tara Bernerd & Partner, as well as Russel Stage Studio. The entrance is guarded with four British Queens showcasing the grande dame that she truly is. If you have a passion for glamorous cocktails and amazing food then we strongly advise you make a reservation. Who doesn’t love a night on the town?
Due to open early 2018.
This is one of our favourites!
First of all, Northshire allows you to stay in what they describe as magical accommodation; they have everything from Shepherd’s Huts to Shire House’s. At TransferTravel, we are huge fans of the accommodation on offer here!
Next year, Northshire will be introducing a brand new type of accommodation, which is definitely just as magical – the GroundsKeepers’ Cottage. If you are a self-confessed Harry Potter fan, you will be familiar with Hagrid’s house, which has inspired the cottage design at this new hotel!
The cottage is due to open late Spring 2018. It will sleep 4-6 people and average cost will be £250 to £300 per night – you will definitely need to start reserving your stay soon!
Can we just book a stay at each of the places on the list?!
All hotel openings mentioned in this blog post offer a variety of different experiences, each one being just as magical as each other. We strongly advise that you pre-book your stay as all hotel openings mentioned are highly anticipated and high in demand. Even if you do pre-book and your plans change, TransferTravel.com offers a platform for you to sell your unwanted hotel rooms, so you can transfer the name listed on your booking to someone else looking to stay easily.
