How To Sell An E-Ticket

With all things going ‘Tech” nowadays, e-tickets are becoming more of the standard for bookings and reservations. What an e-ticket is, is basically and electronic version of the otherwise everyday ticket which allows you the buyer to claim rights or access to a particular trip, hotel room, festival, etc. One of the main reasons for which e-tickets have become such a norm is due to our quest for more time. In this modern era, the 24 hour day doesn’t seem to be enough, so rather than walk to our shop to get a hard ticket (in paper form), we’d rather just buy it online on the fly while multitasking on what is our seemingly never ending list of things to accomplish for one day.

In a typically electronic ticket (e-ticket) booking scenario, you go to an online site selling the ticket, chose the ticket to buy, feel in some information about yourself which is usually inclusive of your name and email amongst others, you will then get either a link to the ticket or a PDF version of the ticket sent to your email as an attachment. On the day of use, you could either print out the ticket and use as you would a regular ticket, or show the virtual copy for scanning on your mobile device.

So, how then do you sell an e-ticket you no longer want to use? Electronic tickets are kind of peculiar in that they can easily be sold as scams – after all, what is to stop the owner from printing multiple copies and selling. Also, there is another hindrance in that e-tickets usually arrive your inbox with your name already on them, making it impossible to arbitrarily change the name to that of another person. This however doesn’t mean that you should completely give up on there being a possibility to sell the ticket as it is indeed very possible.

The first thing you will want to do in such a situation is create an account on – the #1 marketplace for the sale of second hand tickets (whether electronic or regular). Once logged in, the next option will be to list the e-ticket for sale, alongside all relevant information pertaining to the ticket. The more information you provide, the easier it will be for your tickets to be sold. To inspire trust, we always advice all users of the transfertravel marketplace to link at least one or more social media accounts to their transfertravel account. This gives buyers an opportunity to know exactly from whom they are buying from.

With respect to pricing tickets, it is always a great idea to first consult with your local and state regulations. In most states, it is illegal to sell tickets at a premium, so you might want to first find out what is legal in your jurisdiction before setting a price.

Once you list an electronic ticket for sale, uses its wide range of resources to make sure that the ticket is authentic. The process of authentication can take up to 72 hours. This is to ensure that we keep up to our standard of providing only the best for our clients. Because the buyers on our site trust us, you can be sure that your ticket will be sold in the shortest possible time, after which we collect a small commission.
