You’ve been looking forward to the concert you booked last Christmas for ages! It’s been on the calendar and you you’ve made all your travel arrangements to get to the concert. Flights, hotel bookings, trains….you’ve booked it all and maybe for all your friends who are going too.
Most big concert booking sites will automatically refund you with your ticket purchase. Whether an artist has to cancel for health reasons or because of a scheduling conflict you should get your money back for the concert. But what about your travel plans?
Because you have probably booked non-refundable travel plans you cannot simply cancel your travel plans and get your money back. Don’t worry you don’t have to be out of pocket if you simply cannot cancel your hotel booking for example. TransferTravel has created a travel marketplace for buying and selling non-refundable travel plans that can no longer be used by someone. This can happen by simply changing the name on the reservation.
Some airlines let you change the name on your flight reservation for a small fee. We always suggest checking with your airline provider directly to find out what the name change fee is and what they charge. When you create a listing on TransferTravel we ask you to include the name change fee to make things easier for the buyer.
Once you know that you can change the name on your booking and how much it costs you can create a new listing on TransferTravel. Click “sell” on the top right hand corner of the TransferTravel homepage to start the process. Add the title and description as well as all other important information like date, location and if luggage is included or breakfast if it is a hotel booking.
When you sell your travel plans that you can no longer use because of a cancelled concert you will be connected with the buyer instantly. When you are connected with the buyer you can ask them for all details that are needed to make the name change. Once you have changed the name upload the new documents for the buyer to see and approve.
